Setting thermostat in winter

What should I set my thermostat to in the winter?

To save energy in the winter, the Department of Energy recommends setting the thermostat to around 68 to 70 degrees while you are awake. When you are sleeping or outside of the home, you can also try setting the temperature lower.

For some, this could mean wearing sweaters and light jackets to add a measure of comfort with these economic measures.

Suit yourself but remember your energy bill is surely coming.

Nevertheless, who needs pneumonia or an unexpected visit to the emergency room? Mix economic guidelines with a dose of common sense.

And take care of yourself.
