If possible, stay off the roads
Look out for patches of ice and snow
Safety Tips
Lengthen distances between vehicles
Avoid slamming on the brakes
Accelerate slowly
Avoid stops on hills
Some have wisely attached generators to electrical panels just in case of power outages
You can help prevent power over usage by lowering the thermostat
Don’t assume that white patches are salt and brine. Highway workers overnight salted highways and main roads. Secondary roads and remote bridges may well still have snow and ice
